Young ParentsProgram Goals
Our purpose is to ensure that all young parents succeed at becoming educated, responsible, and self-sufficient adults who are contributing members within their families and communities. The measurable goals are:
- A health mother and healthy baby at the time of delivery
- Completion of high school
- No second pregnancies before self-sufficiency is achieved
- Self-sufficiency through a college education or gainful employment
Costs
Services are available to teens enrolled in the New Britain school system at no cost. The other school districts sending their students, pay program fees for their students. School social workers, guidance counselors and social service agencies may refer students.
